Background
The Swedish fintech company Krea was founded in 2018. Through its digital platform, it helps small and medium-sized businesses to find the right loan financing, from companies seeking a quick liquidity solution to startups wanting to grow internationally. Over the last decade, the banking market has become increasingly fragmented. At the same time, the wider range of options has made the market difficult to navigate, which is where Krea comes in. Through Krea, customers get both advisory services and the opportunity for better terms compared to if they would’ve negotiated directly with the bank.
Krea, which has its headquarters in Stockholm, has 18 employees and in 2022 they had a turnover of nearly 21 million SEK. Carsten Leth is the Deputy CEO and Commercial Director of the company and, together with two colleagues, forms Krea’s marketing department.
– My primary job is to ensure that Krea receives more loan applications, both from existing and new customers. However, since the marketing department is small, both me and my colleagues need to pitch in where needed, whether it’s PR or branding.
“We’ve tried it all from paying big money for agencies to hiring freelancers on Fiverr but never felt we’ve gotten bang for our bucks.”

Solution
As a general rule of thumb, Krea tries to work with as few consultants as possible. Previously, they have collaborated with marketing agencies in various disciplines, but for some time now, Carsten Leth has been streamlining the agency landscape.
– We have experience of everything from paying big money for agencies to freelancers on Fiverr, but we have never felt that we found something that gives us ‘bang for the buck’. Too often the cost is too high and with retainer agreements there is not a lot of room for flexibility.
The collaboration between Krea and Klingit came about after a colleague of Carsten’s heard about Klingit. Since it was a new type of solution, they decided to try it. Today, they have collaborated for over two years, and Klingit provides Krea with everything from banner ads to creative units for social media.
– It’s very convenient that all work is done on their digital platform. It gives me a good overview and the opportunity to see how different projects are progressing, and decide what should be prioritized.
Result
In addition to speed, flexibility, and convenience, Krea and Carsten Leth have been impressed by the creative heights in Klingit’s deliveries.
– We always get several different options to choose from and generally, the quality is on the same level as we have received from large agencies, but at a significantly lower cost.
He also appreciates the flexibility in Klingit’s subscription.
– It’s not so rigid. Usually in retainer agreements, there isn’t a lot of work done in half of December and July, but with Klingit, we can move those hours to another month. This makes me, as a client, feel that I am getting a lot of value for my money.
